Abstract

This comparative study examines the effects of policy reforms on marginalized communities, highlighting best practices and areas for improvement. The research addresses the unintended consequences of policy reforms on vulnerable populations, exacerbating social inequalities. The key Problem Statement is that Policy reforms often have unintended consequences on vulnerable populations. The Methodology used is the Comparative study of policy reforms using qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. The theoretical Framework used is the Policy Analysis Framework, incorporating social justice and human rights perspectives. Key Findings to support pro people policies include; the importance of Community engagement and stakeholder involvement which are crucial. Also, Evidence-based decision-making reduces unintended consequences and Policy reforms should prioritize vulnerable populations' needs. In Conclusion, evidence-based policy making promotes social justice and protects vulnerable populations. A key contribution to Knowledge is that this study informs policy makers and advocates about policy reforms' impact. The Implications are to Prioritize community engagement and evidence-based decision-making as well as emphasize vulnerable populations' needs in policy debates. The Limitations of the research include small sample size, limited generalizability. Future Research Directions include Large-scale studies and exploration of policy reforms' long-term effects.
