Abstract
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has emerged as an important business strategy in the modern corporate sector. Beyond profit maximization, corporations are increasingly expected to contribute to social, environmental, and economic development. CSR practices help businesses build ethical values, enhance corporate reputation, improve stakeholder relationships, and promote sustainable development. This paper examines the concept of CSR, its evolution, major CSR practices adopted by corporate organizations, and the role of CSR in promoting inclusive growth. The study also highlights CSR initiatives undertaken by Indian corporations and discusses the challenges faced in the effective implementation of CSR. The paper is based on secondary data collected from journals, reports, books, and official websites. The study concludes that CSR has become an essential component of corporate governance and sustainable business practices.
