Abstract
This research paper deals with biotechnology patenting in India and the factors primarily responsible for the same. Furthermore, it deals with patenting conditions both in India, Europe and the USA. It deals with stages of patenting as well as the procedure involved, concluding with the comparative analysis of these different patenting mechanisms.
