Abstract
The demonization attempted in the recent past by the present government in power is a bold move and a significant change initiated to help the business and industry of India. The Government has taken this step on November 8, 2016. This act of removing some currency from the circulation was not a welcome move for the citizens, politicians, businessmen, banks and institutions etc., etc. The people did not welcome the move but the Government has introduced it in order to ensure corruption free India, curtail black money, control price rise, stop funds flowing for illegal activities and construct a cashless society and to build Digital India. It affected the common citizens and business activities to a larger extend. Even though there is suffering and agony among a lot of the people at that point of time but the forecast is that its benefits will be seen in the long run.
