Abstract
India is an emerging and the largest democratic country in the world. The Constitution of India makes provisions for free and compulsory education for children of 6-14 years’ age. Many programmes have been initiated from time to time to promote education. Education leads us to be self-dependent and responsible citizens of the country. Many infrastructural and teachers’ related norms and standards are being changed to promote free and compulsory education and to improve literacy rate in India. In-spite of all attempts, no doubt literacy rate is improved but education level is getting down, quality education is almost disappeared. Indian students are not comparative to the international students. This article is an attempt to analyze quality education in Haryana and to explore reasons, why quality of education is getting low?
