Abstract
Children love stories asstories create magic and a sense of wonder. Storytelling is a distinctive way for students to develop anappreciation, respect and understanding for other cultures. Stories can promote a positive attitude towards people from different lands, races and religions. Stories stays with people much longer than facts or statistics. If a instructor becomes an excellent storyteller, he or she can ensure that any concept they teach will be remembered for years to come.Similarly stories can be used as a boost to traditional methods of teaching Economics .It helps students to clench Economic concepts while diversifying readings and instructional methods in the classroom. This paper describes the pedagogical value of short stories, and identifies numerous stories used in the economics classroom in class IX CBSE curriculum
