Abstract
An economic production quantity inventory model is formulated with the inclusion of environmental costs in treatment and disposal of the waste generated from the various stages in the production process. Yager’s ranking method for fuzzy numbers is utilized to find the inventory policy in terms of the fuzzy total cost. Finally a numerical example is given to illustrate the model.
