Abstract
Salinity stress is the worldwide loss adversely affecting the growth and productivity of living organisms. For understand the mechanism of stress tolerance, there is a need for salinity stress tolerant species to mitigate the affect of salinity stress that helps in production of compatible solute which resumes the normal hemostatis under salt stress conditions. Identification of genes is the primary diagnosis for molecular studies involved in the production of compatible solutes. This review emphasize on different studies of salt stress tolerant mechanism from different halophilic / halotolerant microbes and plants.
