Abstract
Mobile ad hoc network is a assembly of mobile nodes that tend to move from one location to the next. The nodes are connected with each other and without any central control by means of communication range. The node interaction is performed using the mobile nodes which serve as routers. A prominent concern is the routing of data packets in such mobile networks. One of the factors distressing network performance in the routing process is flexibility, and different models of flexibility are required due to the network's decentralized nature. The performance and efficiency of the network is greatly influenced by node mobility. Hence it is very important to study the mobility models required for the network's node movement. In this paper we have compared four routing protocols AODV, DSR, DYNMO and DSDV against different mobility models. The parameters to be compared are packet delivery ratio and End to End delay. The simulation has been carried out using NS 2.
