Abstract

A rainfall-runoff model represents the catchment characteristics mathematically. SCS-CN is one such method which is very robust because it depends only on Curve Number which is a dimensionless number. The study was carried out in the catchment having geographical area 787 km2 in the Narmada river Basin. The Everydayprecipitation and discharge figures for the time 2000 to 2011 was used to quantify the streamflow. The CN value was found out to be 90.The potential maximum retention is 28.2 and coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.791. This yield is helpful for the catchment improvement and arranging of water resources efficiently.
