Abstract
Beginning from the past few decades, tulsi (Ocimum sanctum)is commonly known as holy basil, capable of preventing and sometimes curing small infections caused by pathogens to serious diseases like diabetes, cancer, HIV etc. In India, Ocimum has history of Hindu mythology and been said to be beloved plant of Lord Vishnu, thus, in few parts of India, tulsi is been grown inside houses and beenworshipedeveryday.Thepowerofthisplantisthatitprotectsentirehousewithitsrichanti- microbial activity. This plant has a spectacular record in completely contributing itself for being beneficial to mankind.
