Abstract
Keeping in mind Faiz’s extraordinary popularity in India, Pakistan and among Urdu (and Hindi) speaking migrant populations all over the world, it is no wonder that much has been written about Faiz’s political commitment, about his ideals, his poetics, his relation with classical Urdu poetry etc.
