Abstract
The study aims to investigate the perception of Fair Price Shop Dealers towards working of Public Distribution System in Punjab. This is an empirical study. A well structured research schedule was used to collect data from 200 fair price shop dealers using convenient random sampling technique. Exploratory Factor Analysis has been applied to identify the factors and sample adequacy is checked with the help of Kaiser Meyer Oklin, Bartlett test of sphericity and correlation matrix. The study identified four factors which are affecting fair price shop dealers’ perception about the quality of PDS. The present study will be useful for food and civil supplies department, policy makers and government while framing their social security related policies and procedures for the vulnerable section of the society.
