Abstract

This study is aimed to identify the impact of public service advertisements towards anti-smoking message towards smoking. The sample (152) unit of this survey are the undergraduate students(35%),working(47%) and non-working(18%) male and their age is around 18 to 30.The crux of this study is to find the inducing factor for smokers to smoke, the impact of earnings on smoking behaviour and the yield of anti-smoking messages through public service advertisement to quit smoking. Both parametric and non parametric test have been used to analyse the quantitative efficiency of the study. The results postulated that the respondents are satisfied on the anti – smoking message and are even trying to quit the same, thereby it contributes in building a heal and hearty society as the emotional imbalances among the individuals due to this evil practice of smoking is reduces to a great extent.
