Abstract
The National Electric Mobility Mission Plan is released by the Ministry of Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises, Government of India with a view to increase the uninterrupted availability of energy resource at an affordable price and boost domestic manufacturing capabilities for electric vehicles. Urban transport planning in India has to meet several challenges: deteriorating air quality, adverse rising energy security risks etc.
