State Sponsored Two-Day National Seminar on “Society, Health and Spirituality: Shifting Paradigms of Physical Education”समाज, स्वास्थ्य और अध्यात्म: शारीरिक शिक्षा के बदलते आयामद्ध ) on 16-17 November, 2019 hosted by the Department of Physical Education, Indira Gandhi Government Post Graduate College, Bangarmau, Unnao-209868, Uttar Pradesh, India in collaboration with Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI), New Delhi, India.
Two-Day National Seminar on Society, Health and Spirituality: Shifting Paradigms of Physical Education enable research scholars/ men of letters to present their views on how Physical Education as a subject/ study field has provided wide range of understanding to deal the issues of social problems, social conflicts and social structures; to find out health deformities and their cure; and to understand spirituality as the final solution. Along with bringing the rarest aspects of the concerned subject, undoubtedly the proposed seminar will enrich the knowledge in various disciplines owing to its inter-disciplinary nature. Hence, the proposed Seminar is essential to the time and space in context with present scenario of increasing intolerance, mobile use and social media, contamination of food, growing population and polluted souls.

To commemorate UNESCO’s declaration of 2019 as the International Year of Indigenous Languages, an International Conference on Indigenous Languages and Translation Studies was held at Seminar Hall, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Jain Deemed-to-be-University, Palace Road, Bengaluru. It was a joint venture of its Post Graduate Department of English, K.S. Narasimhaswamy Trust, (regd) Mandya, Karnataka; The Mattoo Center for India Studies, Stony Brook University, New York, USA and Anusrushti- Abhinava’s Center for Translation.The trilingual conference had two hundred participants, totally hundred papers were presented in Kannada, Hindi and English.

ONE DAY NATIONAL SEMINAR ON DISABILITY, REPRESENTATION AND LITERATURE aims to discuss and explore the societal attitudes towards persons with disability have changed from time to time. Various factors contribute to these changing attitudes. Gender, education, religion,
occupation, income, nationality have a significant impact on the level of disability
consciousness. The Seminar is conducted successfully and participants tried to investigate the level of consciousness of different types of people towards disability in the selected Indian English fiction which deals
with the theme of disability to understand the various psychological and sociological
dialectics that take place in the life of a person with some kind of disability. The approach is
interdisciplinary as it aims at assimilating the psychological and sociological aspects in
analyzing the fiction of disabled people.
